The role is bound to evolve, but it typically involves understanding client challenges across very different industries, developing pragmatic agentic solutions (prompt engineering, skill building, MCP configuration, and so on), enabling and training client teams on core AI skills and platforms, and supporting commercial efforts, including the first scoping of a client's situation, solution design, and proposal building.

Excellent command of, and the ability to build, modern LLM‑based agentic systems: prompt engineering, agent design, platform benchmarking and comparison, and solid technical understanding.

Communication and client presence: the ability to engage clients directly, build trust quickly, and teach and enable non‑technical teams in clear, accessible language.

About Voila AI Voila AI is a growing boutique AI expertise firm with clients across several industries: investment professionals (private equity, asset management, etc.), SMEs (industrials, consultancies, etc.), and startups (tech, software).

Our work spans AI strategy, agentic platform rollouts and enablement, and shipping custom GenAI and ML software. The role Voila AI is looking to grow and shape the AI expert of tomorrow. We are looking for a recent graduate or near-graduate looking to become the versatile AI expert most organizations will need in the future.

The role is open-ended by design. You will not necessarily take on full-scale software engineering efforts, but it does demand computational thinking and the discipline of data science methods, such as systematic evaluation and generalization.

This internship is a chance to grow exceptionally fast in seniority within a consulting environment, while building technical depth and industry-specific knowledge in highly competitive fields with strong demand for AI talent. It runs around six months and can convert into a full‑time role.

What you'll do Work with multiple clients across diverse industries: understand their needs, scope use cases, and design solutions within their business context. Build and deploy agentic systems within existing AI platforms, following engineering best practices and a computational‑thinking philosophy.

Support leadership in commercial efforts: building proposals, running demos, and shaping high‑level solution design. Research new technologies, tools, regulatory implications, and the business impact of AI. Play an active part in the strategic evolution of Voila AI.

What we're looking for A generalist and quick learner with a passion for artificial intelligence. Business acumen: a sense of what matters to a client, and the ability to connect technical work to business objectives. Pragmatism and hackerness: the ability to design simple, high‑value solutions.

Comfort with ambiguity: at ease in a startup environment of low predictability (shifting priorities, evolving processes, informal collaboration) and inclined to take initiative. The ability to context‑switch and lead efforts across multiple projects simultaneously.

Education: this role does not necessarily require an engineering background, but it is a plus, and strong technical foundations must be demonstrated in some way.

A Master's degree in a quantitative or technical field (Computer Science, Data Science, MTEC, Electrical Engineering, Communication Systems, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Bioinformatics) is a plus. Languages: a fluent, eloquent command of English.
