For an internationally operating, renowned e-commerce company based in Ingolstadt (Germany), we are looking for a qualified Cloud Data Engineer to join the team as soon as possible. This position is a permanent employment with Randstad Professional on an exclusive assignment with our client. In this role, you will support the Business Data Tooling and Decoupling as well as the Data Platform Domain teams.
Duration: 6 months (with excellent prospects for extension)
Location: Flexible – approx. 70% remote / home office, approx. 30% On-site in Ingolstadt
Workload: Full-time (attractive 37.5 hours/week)
Architecture & Modeling: Design, build, and continuously maintain the central LookML structure within a modern hub-and-spoke architecture to guarantee a reliable Single Source of Truth.
Platform Administration: Manage governance and administration of the BI platform, including user access management, content management, and Looker API support.
Data Integration: Provide expert consulting and collaborate closely with data teams to design and optimize BigQuery data structures for seamless integration into the BI ecosystem.
Clean Code & QA: Define and establish coding standards for LookML, including modularization, Git version control, and automated testing.
Stakeholder Management: Act as an interface and effectively communicate complex technical architectures to business stakeholders to promote company-wide data standards.

Education: Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of solid professional experience in Cloud Data Engineering, with a strong focus on the Looker BI ecosystem.

Tech Stack: Proficiency in working with LookML structures, as well as deep knowledge of Google BigQuery and modern BI architectures.

Mindset: Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and proven experience working within agile, cross-functional teams.

Languages: Professional fluency in written and spoken English (project language); knowledge of German is a plus.
