Strong experience with SQL, Python, dbt, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenSearch or similar logging tools, Prometheus and Grafana (or equivalent observability tools), and cloud-native data platforms and modern data architectures.

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Data Engineer to be based in our Lausanne office. Main responsibilities within the Data Engineer position include: Translate business concepts into scalable, well-structured transformation pipelines and analytical models.

Design and build trusted, reusable, and well-documented data products that are discoverable, reliable, and support multiple use cases. Data product mindset: ability to think in terms of reusable, well-defined, consumer-focused datasets. Drive data quality, consistency, and modelling best practices.

Monitoring & Platform Reliability Own and continuously improve the monitoring and observability ecosystem. Proactively identify issues, performance bottlenecks, and data quality concerns. Develop alerts, dashboards, and operational procedures that enable rapid issue detection and resolution.

Investigate and resolve production incidents across the data platform. Support a growing user base by responding to operational and business requests.

Help maintain the reliability and availability of critical data services Key skills and experience required in this role: 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience supporting production systems and monitoring data pipelines or applications, as well as building and maintaining analytical data models. Ability to translate complex business needs into data models and products, with a strong focus on business value; knowledge of dimensional modeling and analytics engineering is a plus.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Excellent English communication skills; proactive, collaborative, and self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
