Data Engineer

Weare looking for a seniorSQL& Data Engineer partly on-site in London, with 5+ years of experience, who will beresponsible for building scalable ETLpipelines, optimizing SQLqueries, and developing efficient data models topower business intelligence and reporting. This role places astrong emphasis ondatabase management, data processing, and ETLautomation, while also integrating Microsoft Fabric and Power BIfor visualization and reporting. Short-term contract - 3 months.

This role isfor you ifyou

• Have deep expertise inSQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization.
• Have experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Can structure and model data efficiently forBI and reporting purposes.
• Have experience working with Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI, and cloud data solutions.
• Are skilled indata warehousing, data integration, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize SQLqueries, stored procedures, and data models tosupport data processing and analytics.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines tointegrate data from multiple sources.
• Structure and clean raw data toenable efficientBI reporting and decision-making.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Fabric and Power BIdashboards for real-time analytics.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with finance, product, and business teams todefine data requirements and reporting needs.

Requirements

• Strong SQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) expertise, including query optimization and indexing.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and workflow automation.
• Data modeling expertise, including normalization, denormalization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BIforBI and reporting.
• Knowledge ofdata warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) isaplus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability towork with large datasets.
