Founded by industry leading experts, Amfileon’s mission is to find and capitalize on inefficiencies in liquid capital markets by building statistical models based on relevant data sets.
You will work on designing, building, and operating the data systems that power both research and live trading. The scope and ownership of the role will be tailored to your experience and strengths.
You will collaborate closely with engineers, infrastructure specialists, and researchers to explore, understand, and operate large-scale datasets and data systems in a production trading environment. Your work will directly impact research velocity and trading performance. Responsibilities include, among other things.
Exploring and analyzing datasets (understanding structure, quality, and implicit assumptions) Transforming raw data into consistent, reliable formats (clear semantics and reproducible transformations) Working with researchers to define data requirements (translating them into well-structured, meaningful datasets) Designing and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines (explicit DAG-based workflows with welldefined dependen cies and reproducible execution) Managing and optimizing data storage systems (analytical and transactional databases) Monitoring and
