Data Scientist

My client is a Series A funded, technology company who are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop machine learning and optimisation systems that support complex operational decision-making. The role involves designing, improving, and deploying models that drive measurable business outcomes in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve forecasting, simulation, and optimisation models
• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain model performance in production
• Contribute to technical direction, methodology, and engineering standards
• Build and deploy robust, production-ready solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions

Requirements

• Experience building decision-support systems in real-world operational environments
• Strong expertise in one or more of: forecasting, optimisation, operations research, or applied machine learning
• MSc or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent industry experience
• Advanced Python and SQL skills
• Experience with production ML systems, model monitoring, and experimentation.
• Familiarity with modern cloud, data, and software engineering tools
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English

Preferred

• Experience in planning, optimisation, logistics, operations, or related domains
• German and/or French language skills
• Startup or high-growth company experience
