Expert Business Consultant, Digital & AI Strategy (all genders)

As our Expert Business Consultant, you will be the crucial business counterpart on our enterprise programmes, focusing on customer portals, product configurators, and multi-brand CRM landscapes for large B2B organizations. You'll define business needs, build the business case, and see it through the 12-24 month implementation cycle. AI is a key part of this role, integrating into strategy discussions and engagements.

Activities

We need you to lead the business side of 2 to 3 enterprise programmes, owning business requirements, target process design, and client-facing decision papers. You will also sign off requirements and target processes before build starts, and define and track business KPIs for every programme you lead. Additionally, you will run strategy engagements end-to-end, from initial workshop to assessment, target picture, and quantified business case, and stay accountable for their conversion into delivery. You'll challenge ideas that won't work, know when to involve a Technical Architect, and scope concrete AI and agentic use cases with our AI and engineering teams, including feasibility, data prerequisites, and value hypothesis. Finally, you will turn individual engagements into reusable methods and train colleagues to run them independently.

Requirements

Must-haves:

• 6 or more years in business, digital, or technology consulting, with engagements you personally led.

• Demonstrable requirements and process work you wrote yourself: as-is and to-be process models, business requirements a client signed and a delivery team built from.

• At least one programme where you were the business counterpart to an implementation team for 12 months or longer.

• Business cases you built yourself, including the benefit logic, its assumptions, and what the KPIs actually read afterwards.

• Lead consultant exposure in front of C-level and IT leadership at organizations of 100m EUR or more in revenue.

• Native or fluent German plus business English. You can run a German workshop in the morning and write the English readout in the afternoon.

• Enough technical fluency in AI, integrations, and enterprise platforms to argue feasibility and effort without an engineer in the room.

Nice-to-haves:

• Background at an implementation-adjacent consultancy (management, digital, or technology consulting with delivery accountability).

• Hands-on experience in CRM, customer portal, configurator, or data platform programmes.

• Prior technical or engineering experience before moving into consulting.

Team

You will join the Advisory Team within Thorit's Consulting Practice. You will work alongside our Implementation and Managed Services teams, as well as the engineers and AI specialists in our Development & Technology Practice. The Advisory team is intentionally small and senior, offering you significant visibility with clients and within the company from the outset. Our clients are leading enterprise B2B organizations across the DACH region and the Nordics.
