Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

• Support senior analysts in building predictive models and statistical analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process.
• Contribute to the documentation of data processes and analytical methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics.

Requirements

• A relevant Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
• Familiarity with SQL for database querying.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Access to a stable internet connection and a suitable home office environment in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA , or willing to relocate within the region for occasional team meetups (though the role is primarily remote).
