The Head of Artificial Intelligence & Data will spearhead the strategic direction and technical execution of advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Data initiatives within a premier defence technology organization. Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long‑term AI/ML roadmap to enhance operational capabilities and decision‑support systems.

• Lead, mentor, and scale multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and data analysts.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Proven track record in leadership roles managing high‑performing technical teams in the defence, aerospace, or highly regulated security industries.

• Deep technical expertise in MLOps, LLMs, or large‑scale data engineering.

• Comprehensive understanding of the German defence market landscape and associated regulatory compliance (e.g., security clearances).

• Exceptional strategic vision with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.

• Professional fluency in both German and English is mandatory due to the nature of local partnerships and high‑level governmental collaboration.
