Location: Munich, Germany Employment Type: Full-time Salary Range: € 140.000 - 200.000 + competitive ESOP package worth mid 6 figures as of today Working Mode: Office first Language Requirement: C1 Level English Your Responsibilities As a disciplinary leader provide directions, coaching and support to the Data Scientists (and Data Engineers - currently 8 FTEs, plan to grow to ~15 by end of next year) chartered to Research, develop and adapt algorithms that unlock the capacity in the energy system through optimised returns in trading the flexibility of our assets Actively drive talent development in the Data Science team, individually and as a team A winning mentality that drives cultural change; role-model collaboration and teamwork with peers heading other teams Be responsible for the expansion and evolution of our cloud-based service offering, delivering innovation and differentiation, based on technology leadership solid fundamentals and a lean research and implementation process Collaborate with the executive and leadership teams to set the vision, strategy, algorithmic roadmap and long-term goals that align with the business objectives, achieving Flexa's success Fail-fast, as part of the tech leadership team, accelerating product delivery without sacrificing excellence is what we are inspired by, finding new ways of working, using technology, breaking habits, limits and ceilings.

Especially for a data-science team the balance between exploration and delivery is crucial and needs to be clearly demarcated and managed Foster technical excellence, drive best practices contribute to our open, data driven engineering culture Building, iterating, deploying and maintaining code from scratch to excellence Your Profile Master or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field 7+ years experience in Data Science of which at least 3 years in a leadership position 5+ years of experience in delivering and maintaining machine learning and data science algorithms in productionDemonstrated success in managing and leading high-performing Data Science teams Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders as well as collaborating on deep technical concepts with your peers and team Track record of successfully delivering technically advanced data products in time Ability to technically and scientifically lead applied research projects, challenging our current technology choices as well as assisting in bringing the models to production Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills You enjoy solving problems and sparring ideas in a cross-functional team with our battery engineers, software engineers, product managers and business developers Skills to Set You Apart Having led a mix of Data Science and Software Teams You have built data science teams before Experience in the energy industry Your Benefits Competitive Compensation Package: Including salary and benefits Public Transportation Subsidy: Monthly subsidy to your public transport ticket Lunch/Dinner Allowance Vouchers: Allowance for meals on working days as digital meal vouchers Work Equipment: MacBook or Windows Laptop and ergonomic workplace Regular Team Events: Knowledge Sessions, Afterwork, Sports, Offsites, Halloween, Pride Month, etc.
