Remote AI Platform Developer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Remote AI Platform Developer to join their distributed engineering team, supporting operations originating from Paarl. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining the scalable infrastructure and tools that power our AI research and development efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, containerization, and software engineering best practices, with a focus on creating robust and efficient platforms for machine learning workflows. You will collaborate with AI scientists and engineers globally to deliver high-quality solutions in a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based AI infrastructure and platforms.

• Implement and manage containerization solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for AI workloads.

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for machine learning model deployment and management.

• Build and maintain APIs and services that enable seamless interaction with AI models and data.

• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to understand their platform needs and provide solutions.

• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the AI platform through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools for managing the ML lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
