You will get to build and experiment at the operating layer of a unique, multi-modal biological discovery system. Full : Immune-mediated diseases affect hundreds of millions of people world-wide, but fewer than 12% of new drugs reach approval, largely due to insufficient preclinical understanding of the complex underlying disease biology.

You will be joining a preclinical techbio company building a differential drug discovery and development pipeline in the immunology space. We do this by precisely understanding disease biology through iterative, causal discovery starting from realistic primary patient models.

Our founders have authored several landmark publications in the precision medicine space, previously exited a precision medicine startup, and built a unique translational research program in a large pharmatech. As natives of both tech and bio spaces, we deeply appreciate the unique challenges that come with both.

Your role Work closely with our scientists to anticipate, design, and implement robust data structures that fuel our lab-in-the-loop discovery system Work on AI-driven knowledge systems to contextualize and accelerate causal discovery Develop and maintain scalable data/ML pipelines capable of handling multi-modal biological data, including high-content microscopy and single-cell sequencing data.

Your profile M.Sc. or Ph.D. in computer science, computational biology, or a related field. Proficiency in Python, incl. ML applications in biology. Experience with cloud computing / deploying products on the cloud. Above average appreciation of the value of good UX. Strong understanding of data management best practices.

Independent thinker with a hacker mindset: you know how to balance short term needs vs. tech debt. Healthy participatory culture from the beginning: you will significantly shape company decisions, culture, and strategy. This is optionally a hybrid position requiring a few days per week onsite.

The base of operations will be in the Klosterneuburg area on the ISTA campus, roughly 30 minutes outside of Vienna and easily reachable via shuttle bus or bike. In keeping with Austrian legal requirements, we advertise a minimum gross yearly salary of 80,000€ for this position.

However, the actual salary will be higher, based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. About Us Graph is a precision immunology techbio that leverages perturbation modeling from primary patient cell samples combined with multi-omics data to deliver transformative targeted therapies and biomarkers for immune-driven diseases.
