Your Role
As Team Lead, you will provide scientific, operational, and people leadership across Data Management, Biostatistics, and emerging Data Science activities. You will ensure high‑quality, compliant delivery of clinical trial data while actively shaping how data, analytics, and technology are used to generate insight and value.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands‑on with data, mentoring experts, and continuously improving how data supports clinical decision‑making. A person that values automation of repeating task and seeks to improve established methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop interdisciplinary teams in Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, and Data Science
- Act as functional lead for advanced analytics, exploratory analyses, and data‑driven insights
- Drive the integration of data science approaches (automation, visualisation, quality analytics, predictive methods)
- Ensure compliance with ICH‑GCP, regulatory requirements, CDISC standards, and internal SOPs
- Review and approve key deliverables (DMPs, SAPs, datasets, analyses, reports)
- Serve as primary contact for sponsors and internal stakeholders on data and statistics topics
- Support audit and inspection readiness
- Lead process optimisation, standardisation, and innovation initiativesContribute to training concepts, capability building, and strategic development of data‑centric services
Your Profile
- University degree in Biostatistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field
- Several years of experience in Clinical Data Management and/or Biostatistics, ideally within a CRO or sponsor environment
- Proven leadership or team‑lead experience
- Strong interest in data science, analytics, and modern data tools
- Natural passion for data – you enjoy exploring, questioning, and turning data into insight
- Solid knowledge of clinical research standards (ICH‑GCP, CDISC, regulatory expectations)
- Hands‑on experience with EDC systems and analytical tools (e.g. SAS, R, Python); experience with automation or visualisation is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
