Project-S is hiring a Data Engineer to build the orbital data foundation for our Heat Map, conjunction screening, CDM generation, Pc scoring, and Safety Zone products.
This role owns ingestion, normalization, versioning, quality checks, lineage, and storage for TLEs, ephemerides, event data, and future sensor or radar-derived datasets. Key Responsibilities Build multi-source orbital data ingestion pipelines, starting with TLE sources such as Space-Track and alternate providers.
Implement deduplication, validation, provenance tagging, retry logic, throttling, and source availability checks. Build ETL and canonicalization jobs for propagation, screening, API, and visualization services. Implement data quality rules and lineage tracking to support reproducibility and auditability.
Support streaming ingestion and low-latency update pipelines for Beta and GA releases. Ideal Profile Experience building production data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, Glue, Databricks, Airflow, Step Functions, Data Factory, or equivalent.
