Join one of Europe’s largest EdTech companies as a Staff AI Engineer.

On behalf of our client, a leading EdTech platform, we're looking for a Staff AI Engineer to join their growing AI Engineering team.

In this role, you’ll work on complex, high-impact projects that improve internal workflows and enhance the customer experience through large-scale AI automation.

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) based in Germany or the UK. You can work in a hybrid setup in any of their office locations (Munich or London).

What you’ll do

• Lead the development of AI-powered tools that reduce manual work and increase operational efficiency

• Build LLM-based applications using tools like GPT-4, Claude, Mistral, LangChain, AutoGen, and CrewAI

• Design and deploy scalable LLM architectures using Python and FastAPI, with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Integrate LLMs with APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face), databases (PostgreSQL, Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB), and internal systems

• Optimize systems using tools like vLLM, DeepSpeed, LoRA, and FSDP for better cost-performance and scalability

• Implement AI observability and safety tools such as Guardrails AI, Prometheus, Grafana, and LangSmith

• Collaborate with leadership, engineering, and operations teams to align AI solutions with business goals and integrate into MLOps pipelines (Kubernetes, Ray Serve, BentoML, CI/CD)

What you bring

• 5+ years of relevant work experience

• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for continuous learning

• Experience leading AI projects from concept to production

• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience deploying systems in cloud environments

• A solid understanding of LLMs and vector databases (e.g. FAISS, Pinecone)

• Familiarity with prompt engineering, fine-tuning LLMs, and multi-agent tools like AutoGen or CrewAI

• Confidence working independently on complex, open-ended problems

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
