Stellenbeschreibung
We are building the era of enterprise intelligence. Our vision is to improve our clients' productivity through data and AI by creating solutions that deliver clear business impact. As a Microsoft partner, we are at the forefront of helping companies transform how they operate. What brings us together is deep technical expertise, a creative engineering mindset and a people‑first culture. At Norrin, you can grow in the direction that matters to you and build solutions that make a real difference. Norrin has strong roots in Finland, but we are operating internationally across the Nordics, the United States and APAC.
As a Data Engineer, you'll be part of our expert team, designing and building modern, scalable data solutions in exciting client projects - leveraging the best of Microsoft's technologies like Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. You'll work hands‑on while also contributing to architecture decisions, technology choices, and the development of best practices. Depending on your role allocation and client needs, you may work on one or more projects simultaneously. You'll collaborate closely with our team and clients - sometimes guiding and sharing your expertise, other times diving deep into development work yourself. We'll shape the focus of your role together based on your strengths and interests, ensuring you'll find space to influence, grow, and thrive at Norrin.
What your role consists of
- Designing and building scalable data pipelines, integrations, and modern data platforms
- Contributing to architectural decisions and technology choices
- Implementing data models and ensuring solution‑level data security
- Driving development best practices, CI/CD, and continuous improvement
- Sharing knowledge and supporting the growth of others through our Data Engineering Guild
Why Norrin?
- People‑first culture: A workplace where you can be yourself. Our culture is built on openness, equality, and mutual respect.
- Flexible working model: Our hybrid model offers the best of both worlds – flexibility in your daily life and in‑person collaboration when it moves things forward.
- Well‑being benefits: Extensive occupational health and dental care, insurance coverage, regular massages, and culture and sports benefits.
- Fair compensation: A competitive base salary, performance‑based bonus, and the option to join our personnel fund.
- Grow with us: We encourage continuous learning and development in a direction that matters to you. We offer diverse training and certification opportunities, as well as our Guild communities where knowledge is shared and built together.
What we're looking for
- At least 3-4 years of experience in data engineering or analytics development
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark
- Strong experience developing Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric solutions within Azure environments
- Proven track record building scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions in production (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and integration architectures
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automation (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
- Understanding of modern data architecture patterns such as Lakehouse and medallion models
- Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and development best practices
- Ability to act independently as a technical expert in client‑facing settings
- Strong consultative mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
- Fluent skills in both Finnish and English
Nice To Have
- Experience with cloud‑based data warehouses such as Snowflake
- DBT for managing SQL‑based data transformations
- Azure or Databricks certifications (e.g., DP-600, DP-700, Databricks Data Engineer Associate / Professional)
- Broader integration development experience to contribute to both data and integration projects
- Experience with Power BI, Gen AI solutions, or machine learning (MLOps)
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
- Familiarity with Azure networking and access management concepts
Could this be your next career move? We're excited to hear from you! We are primarily looking for experienced professionals, but a strong mid‑level background is also sufficient. What is required is an attitude, a drive to do things and a desire to grow. Send your application as soon as possible, as we will proceed with the recruitment process as soon as we find the right person.
