A scale-up that specialises in deploying Agentic & General AI Solutions to SMEs & Global Enterprises is looking for a Principal AI Engineer. We're looking for an experienced engineering leader to design and deliver sophisticated AI-driven software solutions for large enterprise organisations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of complex technical challenges, shaping engineering best practices, and building scalable systems that solve real business problems. You'll play a key role in delivering high-impact projects while helping establish technical standards and mentoring fellow engineers.

Whether your expertise comes from enterprise software architecture, AI and machine learning, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives, you'll be responsible for turning complex requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade software and AI platforms, including traditional machine learning solutions, generative AI applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), intelligent agent systems, and the surrounding software architecture.

Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and suitable for production across cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. Promote engineering excellence across architecture, code quality, security, testing, and MLOps. Build reusable tools and frameworks to improve delivery efficiency.

Mentor engineers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture. Requirements 10+ years' experience in software engineering, ideally in a Principal, Lead, or Architect-level role. Strong background designing and delivering enterprise-scale distributed systems and cloud-native applications.

Proven track record delivering complex enterprise solutions in client-facing environments. Fluent in English and German. #J-18808-Ljbffr
